Literature Text

There is nothing except for the arms that hold me,
Arms drawing me close so I no longer need to weep.
I laugh as we dance for the world to see,
Knowing, reveling that you will be with me when I fall asleep.

Storms we have weathered,
As your arms hold on even tighter,
For we are together,
And that makes even the dark lighter.

We fought so hard that now it is as if I live a dream,
Despite the two early morning reminders of our newborn family.
Our lives are filled with joy and nearly bursting the seams,
Yet now my beloved Night we are free to weave our lives tapestry.

Some people are never satisfied with life, but not I,
Now that I am your wife.
This is a continuation of a seven part poem series I wrote a while back. You don't need to have read the earlier poems to understand this one but I highly reccomend it. Here is the link to the first one.

I hope you enjoy it.
